After being up late (early morning) first watching, then celebrating the Red Sox win on Sunday, I took a rest day on Monday.
This morning, I overslept a bit and scrambled to get my workout in before the work day started. I'd planned a one hour row, I settled for 10K, given the time crunch.
The result: 10K in 40:52.8. I felt good and am enjoying these workouts. The rowing machine marathon beckons. Will sanity win out?

The Yomiuri Red Sox certainly did very well. But I saw the scenes of the street parade on TV this morning and the sheer depth of the joy and euphoria was really just beyond my grasp. I mean, I have been a passionate supporter of certain sports teams over the years, but that depth of emotion, especially on such a mass scale (the tribe is usually much smaller), is just way out of the bounds of my experience. Good luck to you guys though! I bet there were a lot of babies conceived in New England over the past couple of days.
Yes, the joy is wonderful. To earn it, though, we've gone through the depths of depression. Mention Bucky F***ing Dent or Bill Buckner to a Sox fan and you'll still get quite a reaction, despite 2 championships in 4 years.
