Like a yo-yo diet, a yo-yo approach to fitness is not the way to go. But somehow I've stumbled into that pattern this year. Travel, injury, illness, and sloth have all played a role in my following up good weeks of training with poor weeks and as a result never achieving the level of fitness I want.
My current bad cold has been another in my perceived or reality-based barriers. I do still feel lousey and my coughing and hacking has disrupted my sleep pattern. I did log a slow lap of the Back Cove in the wind and rain this morning. Tomorrow is my scheduled long row. We'll see how it goes.
