A Solid Long Run

223.0

22.5K in 2:01:13. Double lollypop with 2 Mackworth laps. I felt good throughout and fininshed strong.

For the week:

A "C". I missed a gym workout and gained weight over the weekend. The running went well, I dropped a workout but 4 runs seems to be more realistic than 5.

63K running

1 Gym workout

That's a good solid run, pete. And just so you take your eyes off the ball, let me remind you that you need a few more of them under your belt so that the run on June 10 will be more pleasure than pain.

I recently drank some Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA and 90 minute IPA that somebody brought back from Boston. Hmmm...gooood!!

This week is a bit of a step back week, with a race (my first in almost 2 years) on Sunday. But I enjoy the long runs and plan to continue to add 1 Mackworth Island lap (1.5 miles by my mates's Garmin and my watch and feel for pace) per week. The forester in you would be interested in the awesome storm damage--a swath of uprooted and splintered ppines now bisects the island. I've been meaning to take pictures of that and the lovely running path views.

yes, Dogfish Head is quite special--I'm glad you enjoyed it.
